ABOUT US
We are a Finnish company whose story began with two men who had both lost a close family member.
We shared ideas and thoughts about funerals and burial. One common factor always brought our thoughts together — nature. We asked each other: could human burial be closer to nature?
We wanted to develop a new generation of urns with as little impact on biodiversity loss as possible. For two years, we researched and tested different materials to ensure that manufacturing urns would not require deforestation or soil excavation, which can pollute groundwater.
As a result, we created an entirely new material for urns: straw fiber. Straw grows every year in fields and is a by-product of agriculture. Its rapid renewability reduces the need for logging and helps protect nature.
We are grateful for all the positivity and appreciation we have received for our products and services. Our goal is to provide the perfect urn for each situation and client in the most ecological and sustainable way.
Vision and mission
Our vision is to encourage people to discuss burial practices and choose a natural burial method for themselves and their loved ones. The end of life brings sadness, grief, and feelings of loss, making it often difficult to discuss the topic. Burial can also be seen as a celebration for past life and beautiful memories. We want each of us to leave behind a living memory.
Our mission is to develop and make available innovative and sustainable products for the funeral industry. We aim to enable everyone to have a beautiful and easy burial method in the most ecological way possible. Burial should be a beautiful and dignified occasion, not a source of stress.
